Escut caironat: de sinople, 2 llosses d'or, passades en sautor i amb les fulles a dalt. L'escut acoblat d'un bàcul d'abat d'or posat en pal i timbrat d'una corona de baró.

Origin/meaning

Canting arms: they show two "llosses" (Catalan for "spoons"). Les Llosses has been the centre of the barony of La Guàrdia de Ripoll (11^th century), and this explains the baron's crown at the top of the arms. The crosier stands for the monastery of Ripoll, that bought the barony in 1363.
