LLADORRE
Region: Catalonia
Province: Lleida
Catalan | Escut caironat: de sinople, un lledoner d'argent acompanyat d'una espasa d'or en pal a la destra i de 3 palles d'or en banda a la sinistra del tronc. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms are canting: they show a "lledoner" (Catalan for hackberry). At both sides, there is the attribute of the local patron saint, the sword of St. Martin, and the three "palles" (straws in Catalan) taken from the canting arms of the counts of Pallars, because the village was in their territory.
