English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 14, 1970.
The arms show St. Ulrich, Bishop of Augsburg, who, according to legend, rested in the village in the late 10th century near a spring. The spring is ever since known as the St. Ulrich spring. The water of the spring was used to cure eye problems.
The fish refers to the legend that during Lent a piece of meat was changed into a fish.
