Origin/meaning
The arms are based on those of the Champagne region, to which was added the (canting) magenta color, discovered shortly after the battle of Magenta and named after the village. The two bridges symbolize the bridge of Dizy, on the side channel to the Marne, and the bridge of Épernay, on the Marne.
