Official blazon

  • (de) In Blau ein aufrechtes, nach oben beidseits einmal gezacktes weißes Dreieck, darin ein schwarzer Doppeladler mit goldenen Nimben.
  • (it) D'azzurro al triangolo d'argento confinante dalla punta inchiavata su ambo i lati, all'aquila bicipite di nero nimbata d'oro.

Origin/meaning

The arms are granted on July 10, 1969.

The arms show the imperial eagle in front of a white mountain, which symbolises the fact that the village lies in a region with several glaciers. The eagle is taken from a local legend, that states thet the villagers defended their valley in such a brave way, that they were granted to use the imperal eagle.
