The arms were proposed in 1994 and show three swords over the arms of the Gargan-Rollepot family. The latter were Lords of Monchel in the 18<sup>th</sup> century and thus the last lords of the village. The three swords symbolise the Saints Juste, Arthème and Honeste, who lived in the area in the 7<sup>th</sup> century and were killed by decapitation near the present village.
