Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 11, 1989.

The crossed keys are a symbol of the Melk Abbey, to which the village historically belonged, the parish of Moosbrunn was founded by the Abbey in 1312. The lower half is canting, showing a fountain (Brunne).
