History: First formed in 1945 at Royal Naval air Station Lee-on-Solent asa Night Fighter Squadron equipped with Fairey Firefly. Disbanded in 1946.

English Per fess black and barry wavy of six white and black; a dagger in pale white pommel and hilt gold winged white.

Motto: Nocte vincimus.

Origin/meaning

The Badge and Latin Motto which translates as "We conquer by night" allude to the Night Fighter Role. The Badge was approved on 14 April 1946.
