History: Formed at North Luffenham in April 1942.
Official blazon
Badge: In fron of two wings elevated and conjoined in base gules a horse-shoe argent.
Motto: Over all obstacles.
Origin/meaning
The Horseshoe is from the Arms of the County of Rutland and is indicative of the Location of the Unit. The Wings symbolises Flying. The badge was granted in May 1945.
