History: Formed at Andover in April 1939.

Official blazon
English Issuant from water barry wavy a mount thereon , and int front of a square tower with portcullis raised a pile of six pellets.

Motto: Fulmen alatum tenemus

Origin/meaning

The Pellets (Black roundels) symbolises the Storage of Bombs in Oxford Castle, which is by the River Thames. The Motto translates as ”We will hold in readiness the winged thunderbolts”. The Badge was approved in August 1950.
