History: Raised at Scampton in March 1943.

Official blazon

On a roundel argent a wall in fess Or fracted by three flashes of lightning in pale gules and issuant from the breach water proper.
Motto: Apres moi le deluge.

Origin/meaning

The badge symbolises the successful attack on the Ruhr Dams in May 1943. The Three Flashes symbolises the Three Dams attacked. The Motto in French translates as "After me the flood". The badge ws granted in March 1944.
