History: First formed in 1940 at Royal Naval Air Station Crail (HMS Jackdaw) Fife, Sctoland asa Torpedo Training Unit. Disbanded in 1946.

Origin/meaning

The Jackdaw symbolises the location to HMS Jackdaw, the Torpedo the Role of Torpedo Training. The Badge wa approved on 6 November 1943.
