Punaisessa kentässä nouseva, reunoihin ulottuva, porttiholvilla varustettu muuri, jonka yläpuolella kolme simpukkaa; kaikki kultaa.
I rött fällt en uppstigande, genomgaende mur med portvalv, däröver tre musslor; allt av guld.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 12, 1952.

The gate refers to the former local gate, which was the only way to go to Parainen/Pargas through the archipelago. The gate played also a main role in the Great Northern War.

The shells in the chief refer to the chalk quarries in the area.
