Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 19, 1981.

The arms show three haystacks or hay-houses. The name is derived from Pavelaers, which means 'near the (winter) feeding stations' and the haystacks are thus seen as a canting element. The number refers to the three hamlets in the municipality, Boden, Bschlabs and Pfafflar.
