PLOUVAIN

Département : Pas-de-Calais

Plouvain.jpg

Origin/meaning

The above arms were proposed in 1994, but I have no information whether the arms were actually adopted.

The arms are based on the arms of the St. Vaast abbey, in gold a red cross. The village historically was a possession of the abbey. The red bend symbolises the Scarpe river, on which the village is situated.
