PUCH BEI HALLEIN
State : Salzburg
District : Hallein
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 20, 1971.
The upper half of the arms show a beech (Buche) tree, a canting symbol for the name of the town. The lower half shows the wall of the local cemetery with in the gate the letters VII MP. The stone was added to the wall in 1812 and is a symbol for the Roman roads that ran through the municipality. The letters mean '7000 paces' (septem milia passuum) or the distance to the Roman city of Iuvavum.
