A lion rampant triple qued collared with a chain detached therefrom.

Origin/meaning

The Lion is from the arms of the nearby Town of Stamford. The Triple queued tail alludes to the three Wing and three Commands that have been part of the Station's history. The detached chain alludes to the Squadron relased from the Station to operate independently. The badge was granted in August 1955.
