a sun in splendour Or surmounted by a bow sable fesswise the strings uppermost overall a sword argent hilted Or point upwards.
Motto: Verum exquiro = Seek the truth.
Origin/meaning
The Bow is a play on the name of the nearby town of Huntingdon. The Sun indicates the light needed to undertake the phote-recconnaissance role of the Station. The Sword reminds the personnel of their role in time of War. The badge was granted in October 1956.
