English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 23, 1978.
The arms show the western facade of the local “Marterle” pilgrimage church. The base refers to the local mountains. The upper corner shows a flower of the local orchid species, the elder-flowered orchid (Dactylorhiza sambucina), also popularly known as the “Adam and Eve flower”. The colours were chosen arbitrarily.
