Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on February 17, 1972.

The right side shows the T cross for Saint Anthony (San Antonio) and the left side the Lone Star of Texas above the Alamo the blood shed for Texas Liberty.

The Motto Libertatis Cunabula translates as Cradle of Liberty.
