Origin/meaning

The chief of Anjou is the same of Bologna, the city from to which San Giovanni in Persiceto depended at the ancient times of the stato pontificio and nowadays it is still in Bologna province.

The tree is a peach tree: persiceto means 'field of peach trees' in medieval Italian (italiano volgare).
