SANT BOI DE LLOBREGAT
Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona
Catalan | Escut caironat: d'atzur, una campana d'argent batallada de gules. Per timbre una corona de baró. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
These arms have been officially granted on 13th December 1985.
The bell is the traditional sign of the town, and it's no linked to any particular historical event; it's said that it symbolizes the bell that called the neighbours to gather and meet. The baron's crown reminds the barony of Sant Boi, created in 1523 by Antoni de Cardona.
