Escut caironat: d'or, una creu abscissa patent concavada de gules angulada de 4 raigs rectilinis d'atzur; el peu d'or, 4 pals de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 12th January 1984.

The cross anglé is a the traditional sign on the arms of the village, possibly related to St. Leocadia, the local patron saint. The arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four pales Gules on Or) remind the royal jurisdiction over the village through Figueres council, where the village depended on.
