SAUVOY

Département : Meuse

Blason de Sauvoy
Official blazon
French Tranché: au 1er d'azur à la tour d'argent ouverte et ajourée du champ, au 2e d'or au grêlier de gueules posé en bande, le pavillon à dextre.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on January 29, 2016.

The hunting horn refers to the fact that the area was a royal hunting ground in medieval times. The tower represents the castle and also emphasizes that Sauvoy once depended to the Provost of Vaucouleurs. Literature: Image from http://www.armorialdefrance.fr
