SCHWICHTENBERG

State : Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
District (Kreis) : Mecklenburgische Seenplatte (until 2011 Mecklenburg-Strelitz)
Incorporated into : 2003 Galenbeck

Wappen von Schwichtenberg/Arms (crest) of Schwichtenberg
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 22, 1998.

Historically the area belonged to the city of Friedland, and the city wall is taken from the arms of Friedland. The oak tree symbolises the forests in the region, whereas the mountain (Berg) in the base is a canting element.
