Official blazon
On a blue vertical rectangle arced convexly at the top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, divided equally in the center blue and orange and throughout are crossed sabers counterchanged. Attached above the rectangle, a blue scroll inscribed "SOUTHERN LEE" in orange letters. Attached below the rectangle, a blue scroll inscribed "CAVALIERS" in orange letters. The overall dimensions are 2 7/8 inches (7.30 cm) in width and 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height.
Origin/meaning
Navy Blue and Burnt Orange are the school’s colors. The Cavalier is the school’s mascot and is symbolic of the cadets’ winning spirit. The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 5 January 2006.
