Official blazon

Shield: Tierced in pairle reversed Tenné, Azure and Buff, a diminised pall reversed Argent, overall a keystone of the last surmounted by another Gules.
Crest: That for regiments and separate battalions of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard: On a wreath of the colors, Argent and Tenné, a lion rampant guardant Proper, holding in dexter paw a naked scimitar Argent hilted Or and in sinister an escutcheon Argent on a fess Sable three plates.
Motto: Iron Support.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height over all consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Tierced in pairle reversed Tenné, Azure and Buff, a diminised pall reversed Argent, overall a keystone of the last surmounted by another Gules. Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "IRON SUPPORT" in Silver.

Origin/meaning

Th Colours suggest the branches that makes up the Battalion, Tenné for the Signal Corps, Cobalt Blue for the Military Intelligence Branch and Buff for the Quartermaster Corps. The Pall symbolises the Headquarters of the Division continuing service as 28th Division Moblie Command Group, Main command Post and Tactical Command Post. The Keystone symbolises location to Pennsylvania "The Keystone State".

The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 1 February 2008.
