Tore.jpg

Official blazon

I svart fält ett ankare av silver och däröver en ginstam av hermelin.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1951.

The anchor symbolises that Töre is the Northernmost harbour in Sweden and used to have a number of shipyards. The black colour refers to the coal shipping from the harbour.

The ermine is a canting element for the Hermelin family and refers mainly to Samuel Gustaf Hermelin, who set up several industries in the village.
