US AIR FORCES IN EUROPE AIR POSTAL SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE
History: Constituted as 2nd Air Postal Squadron, US Air Force on 12 September 1949. Activated on 5 October 1949. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 8 January 1963. Consolidated (1 June 1993) with the 7025 Air Postal Squadron, which was activated on 1 July 1976. Redesignated as: 2nd Air Postal Squadron on 15 June 1993; United States Air Forces in Europe Air Postal Squadron on 1 July 1994; 2nd Air Postal Squadron on 22 March 2004; United States Air Forces in Europe Air Postal Squadron on 9 November 2016.
