Arms of Upplands Väsby

I blått fält en med kors krönt kyrka av silver visande en med blått spetsbågsfönster försedd gavel samt sakristia och vapenhus, och däröver en ginstam av silver belagd med tre blå kuggkransar.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1961.

When the municipality was created in 1952 the original idea was to have three churches in the arms, one for each of the former municipalities.

In the end, however, it was decided to have one church (the one from Hammarby) and three cogwheels for industry.
