VP-4 SKINNY DRAGONS, US NAVY

History: Formed 1 July 1943 as VB-144, VPB-144: 1 October 1944–15 May 1946, VP-144: 15 May 1946–15 November 1946, VP-ML-4: 15 November 1946-1 September 1948 and from 1 September 1948 VP-4 (2nd use of that designation).

Homeport: NAS Whidbey Island, Washington.
