Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 15,1950.

The crown stands for Queen Fredrika Dorotea Vilhelmina, from whom the place was named; she was married to King Gustavus IV Adolphus. The two wavy lines refer to the two main rivers and river-valleys in the municipality, the Kultsjödal and the Malgomajdal valleys.
