State : Oberösterreich
District : Linz-Land

Arms of Wilhering

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 7, 1973.

The upper half shows an ear of oats, symbolising the agricultural character of the municipality. The wavy bar symbolises the Donau river.

The angel in the base refers to the local Cistercian Abbey, founded in 1146, and rebuilt in 1733 in rococo style.
