An old Dutch windmill in orange on a blue shield of the outline of the shield on the seal of the City of New Amsterdam; shield to be approximately 2 1/2 inches (6.35cm) in height.
Origin/meaning
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized for the 12th Army Corps on 26 October 1923. It was redesignated on 22 January 1959 for the XII U.S. Army Corps. A distinctive unit insignia was not approved for the XII U. S. Army Corps.
