French Coupé ondé: au 1er d'or au dauphin d'azur, barbé, crêté, peautré oreillé et lorré de gueules, au 2e d'azur à la fasce ondée d'argent.

Origin/meaning

The dolphin in the arms is the canting symbol for the Dauphiné region, the old principality ruled by the French Crown Princes. The lower part probably symbolises the Rhône river.
