Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 2006.
The red saltire is the symbol for Saint Andrew (André), the local patron saint. The sheep head refers to the importance of sheep farming.
The chief refers to the old castle of Montméjean, and the two stars are taken from the arms of the Mommejan family, former lords of the village. The cross represents the one that stands at the entrance to Vessac. It dates from 1665 and is the oldest stone cross in the Causse-Noir region.
