The discovery of tin ores in its vicinity destined the village below the Castle soon to become a mining center. To encourage its development the Bors family in 1399 bestowed on the village the status of a town, including several rights and its own coat-of-arms. The arms show a city gate with in the gate a small shield with the Bohemian lion, holding a hammer for the mining. | ||
