The Red Rose, a badge of King Henry V, who according to tradition conferred it upon the City of Winchester in 1415 as he passed through on his way to Agincourt. As Winchester is the Shire Town of Hampshire, it later become symbol of the whole county, and later incorporated into the County Arms. | |||
