| '''Origin/meaning :'''<br/>
| |
| The arms were granted on March 3, 1914.
| |
| | |
| The upper half of the arms shows accurately the old castle of Sint-Joost-ten-Noode, built and used by the Dukes of Burgundy in the 14-16th century. The lower half shows a beggar's bag. This is a canting element, Ten Noode can be translated as 'the place of the persons in need'. The lower left half shows a bunch of grapes, symbol for the vineyards that used to be in the area.
