The shield is divided in two for the villages of Babeau and Bouldoux, each represented by a bunch of grapes. The red and gold are the colours of the [[Languedoc]] region. The crosier refers to the St. Chinian Abbey, to which the village belonged until 1792. The (heraldic) fountai refers to the source of the Malibert river.
