History: Raised in 1702 as Fox's Regiment of Marines (32nd Foot in 1751) and in 1741 as Price's Regiment (46th Foot in 1751). In 1881 these two Regiments become the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.

In 1959 amalgamated with [[The Somerset Light Infantry (Prince Albert's), British Army]] to form [[The Somerset and Cornwall Light Infantry, British Army]].
