The arms show three turnips. The village is situated on the fertile grounds along the Donau river and is famous for its turnips, the Pfatterer Rüben, which were first described in 1500. These are thus shown on the arms, on a black field for the rich black soils. The chief refers to the Pfatter river, after which the village is named.
