Bishop Schuster chose the motto, IESUS LUX VITAE ("Jesus, the light of life"), which comes from Sr. John's Gospel when Jesus reveals himself as the light of the world saying: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. {John 8: 12)" It reflects Bishop Schuster's conviction, that in dark times, we need to look to Jesus for light and hope to guide us and give us joy and peace.
