History: First formed in 1940 at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton (HMS Heron), Somerset as a Torpedo-Spotter-Reconnaissnce Squadron. served in Norwegian Waters on HMS Furious 1941-1944. Disbanded 1946. After various duties finally reformed in 1954 at Royal Naval Air Station Ford with Westladn Wyverns until disbanded in 1955.
