The arms were officially granted on November 30, 1977.
The arms were officially granted on November 30, 1977.

The eagle in the arms is derived from the arms of the city of [[Nürnberg]], which owned the village from 1527-1813. The oak branch symbolises the large oak tree, which is supposedly over 1000 years old, in the village. The base shows a wall, which symbolises the small medieval hunting castle that was built in the village. After a crime the castle was destroyed and a church was built instead, the St. Wolfgang church.
