The arms are those of the Spanish family De la Puente. Bierges has been in the possession of a number of families, among these several Spanish noble families. In 1738 Bierges was inherited by Ferdinand-Joseph Marquis de la Puente. The family owned the village until 1795 and were the last Lords of Bierges. | |||
