Kösching has used seals since the 14<sup>th</sup> century and until the 19<sup>th</sup> century and all showed a group of trees (10, later 7), with in front of the trees a small shield with the arms of the Wittelsbach family and Bayern. In 1565 the colours were mentioned as red with green trees. The combination of a divided shield with the diamonds of Bayern and the tree appears as arms as early as 1562.
