===Origin/meaning===
I have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms. Any information is welcome.
The otter is taken from a legend, in which an otter entered the local castle by the stairs. This is also symbolised by the division line.

The division line also refers to the border, which runs through the village. In the [[Saint-Gingolph (Haute-Savoie)|French part]] the colours of the field and star are blue, on the Swiss part, they are red.
