Origin/meaning

The Agnus Dei is the attribute of Saint John the Baptist, patron of the parish. The wheat refers to the name of the commune (Peslières, Paylleras in the 14th century, would come from the Occitan plural of palhero meaning straw or granaries for its conservation).

The dragon comes from the family coat of arms of the Lord of the Drac who resided in Châteauneuf, hamlet of Peslières.
