PÉRONNES
Province : Hainaut
Incorporated into : 1977 Binche
Official blazon
D'azur à un globe crucifére d'argent, la croix d'or. L'écu timbré d'un heaume d'argent doublé de gueules, surmonté d'une aigle issante d'or.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 21, 1923.
The arms are those of Nicolas du Rondeau, Lord of Péronnes. Until 1629 the village used a seal with a double-headed eagle. In 1629 Nicolas du Rondeau changed the seal. Even though the village changed hands a few deceased later, the seal remained in use for a longer period of time.
